HP Middle-East large format printers special rebate programme - terms & conditions  

Within the framework of the special rebate programme, Hewlett-Packard Middle-East FZE-LLC, Dubai Internet City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (HP) pays an appropriate rebate to the owner of an eligible large format printer when this user (herein “participant”) purchases a new HP product that is part of the programme. The rebate needs to be claimed by the participant by sending a claim to HP. The rebate, though, only ensues if the old / previous equipment the participant already owns is clearly listed as an eligible product part of the programme, and the new product which the participant purchases is listed as being part of the programme as well. The ratio of the products the participant already owns to the number of newly purchased HP products is always one to one.

Please note that only new HP products purchased during the period of the promotion are allowed to take part in the programme. Demo products as well as remarketing or used products are excluded from the programme.

Rebate claims must be submitted not later than 45 (forty-five) days after the date of invoice of the new HP product purchased.

The period of the programme, the new HP products subject to the programme, the eligible old products and the exact rebate value are specified at the end of this document. HP retains the right to change or terminate this programme at any time and without prior notice. The programme is open to anyone over the age of 18 years, who is not an employee of any of the Hewlett-Packard companies, their associated agencies and their immediate families.

The programme period is February 1st, 2009 – April 30th, 2009.

The participant can participate to the programme by filling out the attached form and sending it to the address specified. By sending the form the participant accepts the programme terms & conditions and confirms that participant is the legal owner of the product(s) participants already owns.

In order to file a rebate claim under the programme with HP, participant must provide proof of purchase and delivery of the new HP product and the original serial number label (or plate) of the old / previous product participant already owns.

The proof of purchase (invoice) and proof of delivery (delivery note) must contain the following information: name and address of the participant, name and address of the HP Designjet Channel Partner (updated list of DCP partners available on www.hp.com/me/rebate/lfp), product model, serial number and purchase price of the product.

Rebate claims that are incomplete or that contain false statements will not be processed. Furthermore, HP may reject any rebate claims that HP at its sole and entire discretion considers not meeting HP’s requirements.

Participant’s products that have been used in a rebate claim programme once cannot be used for another rebate claim at any point in time. HP reserves the right to check and verify the validity of every claim by inspecting the old/previous product via HP representatives or an agency authorized to carry out the inspection.

The new HP product(s) purchased and used in a claim must be purchased from an HP Designjet Channel Partner located in UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Yemen. Product(s) purchased from sources outside this territory are not eligible for the programme. Only participants who are customers (end-users) from UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Yemen may participate to the programme.

The applicable rebate is paid by HP to the participant. Payment is made by electronic bank transfer within 30 (thirty) days from the date HP receives a rebate claim from the participant in an acceptable form and content. Sending the claim to HP is entirely at risk of the participant, HP will not process un-received claims that might have been lost by mail or courier service.

Payments can only be made to a bank account within the country of the participant (i.e. UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Yemen.) The participant must be the owner of the bank account stated for the bank transfer.

This programme cannot be used in conjunction with other sale promoting measures or special agreements with HP that are offered at the same time.

Participant shall not deal with Products or technical data in violation of the US Export Administration Regulations and other applicable regulations. Participants who have been deprived from export privileges from the USA and other government authorities are not eligible.

This programme terms and conditions are written in English. By participating to the programme participant accepts that the English language will be the only language governing the programme. This programme shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. The courts of Geneva/Switzerland shall exclusive competent jurisdiction. HP reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this promotion without prior notice and without allocation of rebates at its sole discretion.
